The purpose of the Single Donor Outsourcing program is to help the Clubs whose major donor would like a tax receipt.

The Optimist Clubs of Canada are not registered as charitable organizations under the tax laws, therefore they cannot issue official receipts for tax purposes to the donors. Because of the tax advantages of a tax deductible receipt a donor may increase the amount of the contribution, which is to the advantage of the beneficiaries of the program financed by these fund raising campaigns.

The Single Donor Outsourcing Program applies where a club wishes to carry out a project that is supported by a single donor that would like a tax receipt.
