During the Optimist International 2024 congress, Sarah-Claude Simard, from Rivière du Loup, presented her winning speech at the 2023 World Public Speaking Championship. She presented her son’s speech in both official languages and left the auditorium mouth good! Once again last year, first place winners from competitions in this sector are invited to participate in the 2024 Optimist International World Oratorical Contest on July 18 and 19. The regional competitions will take place on July 18 and the winner from each region will compete in the world champions tomorrow. The winners of the regional competitions received US$5,000, while the finalists of the world Oratorical Contest champions receive prizes of US$5,000, US$10,000 and US$15,000.
The Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundation aims to help you offer the scholarships obtained to young Canadians. Thank you for showing generosity! Your chapter’s donations page can be found here.
