CCOF happenings
As the weather improves we start to focus on outside projects and fundraisers like BBQs, bike safety and fun fairs. I would like to personally thank everyone who has donated to the Foundation by buying a Dime a Day pin, becoming a President’s Club member or a Friend of the Foundation. These vital funds are used to support Oratorical, Essay and CCDHH scholarships as well as grants. There is still lots of time to donate to the foundation. I hope you received the Foundation version of the Optimist International Magazine. You can see some of the amazing things both foundations have been up to and where your money is going. If you did not receive it, make sure your email is up to date with Optimist International. We have updated our recognition strategy and created a page on our website to recognize our amazing donors. I hope you will check it out. Don’t forget to invite me to your events, I love to roll up my sleeves and help in the communities. President Denise
Spread Relief at work
The Fergus-Wellington Optimist Club applied for a Spread Relief Grant to support a young girl in their community with Rett Syndrome. The $3,000 grant will be used to upgrade her community system. Congratulations to the club and the family! The next deadline for Spread Relief is May 31st.
JOIful Giving campaign
CCOF will be joining OIF in the JOIful Giving Campaign. We will have a limited number of pins available. Each pin is $20 and all proceeds will go to support the JOI Summit. You can also make a donation on the CCOF website. The campaign starts April 27th and your District JOI Chairs will have the pins available.
JOI Club Grant deadline extended
We have extended the date for the JOI Club Grant to May 31st. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to receive funds for your club projects. Our next District Grant application deadline is April 30th.
